Scientific Name: Osteogaster sp. CW010 (previously Corydoras sp. CW010; reclassified in 2024 as part of the Osteogaster genus, possibly a variant of Corydoras aeneus or C. melanotaenia).

Origin: Headwaters of the Amazon, Peru (e.g., Rio Ucayali)
Size: 5–7.5 cm (2–3 inches); females larger and rounder, males slimmer
Lifespan: 3–10 years with proper care
Small group (6–8): Minimum 10 gallons, though 20 gallons long (30x12x12 inches) is ideal for schooling and stability
Temperature: 72–82°F (22–28°C); avoid prolonged exposure above 82°F.
pH: 6.0–7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral)
